Vehicle Displays Principles

Vehicle Displays Principles

CAT NO: DIDACTICNAE050

Vehicle Displays Principles Description and Tender Specification:

Vehicle Displays Principles.
The trainer is neatly laid out to represent the typical layout of automobile with sensors and switches and a visual representation of vehicle dashboard system. The unit contains a circuit board with electrical components, system diagrams, power supply, electrical test leads, and student experiment manual presented in hard copy and pdf format. PCB’s should be made from fiberglass, coated with epoxy to prevent corrosion and suitable for harsh environments. Labeled components with powder coated base.
The experiment exercises start with relevant theory of vehicle display and warning systems and proceed to practical activities using the circuit board and multi-meter for measurement and troubleshooting. Manual provided, must clearly show the following educational Objectives are met.

Educational Objectives:
Study of coil type and bi-metal gauges and their basic operation.
Using oscilloscope to observe ultrasonic parking sensor signal and vehicle speed sensor signal.
Familiar with functions of speed and crankshaft (PIP) sensors.
Calculate engine speed from the TDC reference signal.
Observe speed sensor signal when vehicle speed varies.
Study the operating principle of the warning indicator failure detection system.
Diagnose faults in the coolant temperature indication circuit.
Understand how to test gauges through the sender feed wire grounding.
Understand operating principle of the oil pressure indication circuit and low oil level warning lamp system.
Understand operation and function of the impact sensor in SRS system.
Diagnose faults in air bag system.
Diagnose faults in the vehicle lighting indication system.
Familiar with fault symptoms of vehicle speed sensor.
Understand fuel level sensor signals and the connection to engine ECU.
Understanding average speed, average economy, distance to empty and time lapse calculation and application for vehicle instrument display system.

Circuit board features :
On-board graphic representation of a car showing : Seat-belt switch, Door switches, Impact sensor, Fuel level sensor, Speed sensor, SRS sensor, ultrasonic parking sensor, Coolant temperature sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, Accelerator, Brake switch, Parking switch, Headlight switch, Ignition switch, CAM sensor and CRANK sensor.
