This Electronic Instrument when placed In the air flow to be measured will directly read the air velocity to and accuracy of :I: 2%. The instrument consists of a sensing head and an Indicator unit. The use of micro circuit has made the unit remarkably compact. The special designed vane pivoted on jewels makes it extremely sensitive to air flow. Velocity measurement range is 0.25 meter per second to 15 meters per second.  The head incorporates a rotating vane type non optical no magnetic and non contact transducer which is uneffected by vibrations, dusts, temperatures or humidity. This transducer generates electrical signals having a frequency directly proportional to the rate of air flow through the head. These signals are then converted to a direct current, which drives an indicating meter calibrated in terms of flow rates in meters per second. The instrument will be very useful wherever monitoring of air flow is required I.e. mines, centralized air conditioning systems, tubes railways, synthetic fibre plants, tobacco plants, tea gardens, metrological laboratories etc for testing the rate of air flow.
