USB Data Acquisition Module Description and Tender Specification:

USB Data Acquisition Module.

1.1               System and technical Description

The model shall be a USB 2.0 full-speed, thermocouple input module that is fully compatible with both USB ports. The model shall provide eight differential thermocouple input channels. Eight independent, TTL-compatible digital I/O channels shall be provided to monitor TTL-level inputs, communicate with external devices, and to generate alarms. The digital I/O channels are software programmable for input or output.

With the model, it shall be possible to take measurements from type J, K, R, S, T, N, E, and B thermocouples. The model shall provide two integrated cold junction compensation (CJC) sensors for thermocouple measurements. An open thermocouple detection feature lets detect a broken thermocouple. An on-board microprocessor automatically linearizes the measurement data.

The model shall be a standalone plug-and-play module which draws power from the USB cable. No external power supply is required. All configurable options are software programmable. The model shall be fully software calibrated. The model shall feature eight channels SE and four channels differential analog inputs with 12-bit resolution (11-bit in SE mode), 1.2 KS/sec sampling rate for up to 4000 sample.
