Benchtop Sediment Transport Channel- Engineering Lab Training Systems

Technical Description This closed channel of tabletop design is used for investigating the movement of sediment in flows. The flow is generated by a belt-driven bucket wheel; a speed-regulated electric motor is used for the drive. The motor and speed adjuster are on the water-tight base plate. The sediment to be investigated is placed in recess in the working section. To ensure that the water can flow into the working section free of turbulence, an easy to remove flow rectifier is fitted to the front. The oval channel is made of transparent acrylic.
