Centrifugal Pump Test Rig Description:This test rig is designed for students to make comprehensive study of Centrifugal Pump Characteristics & performance. The trainer is a closed loop system consisting of a Centrifugal Pump driven by a electrical motor. The pump draws water from a sump tank & delivers to the overhead measuring tank, which is drained in sump tank. Instrumentation is provided for measurement of Suction pressure, Discharge Pressure, Power Input & Flow rate. The entire setup is mount on sturdy steel structure. Experimental Capabilities: • Study of Centrifugal Pump Performance at different heads & flow rates.• Determination of pump efficiency & performance characteristics.• Construction & operation of pump (Theoretical System Components: Centrifugal Pump: Discharge: 20 lpm, Max. Head 30 meter. Pressure Gauges: 0-4 Kg/ Sq. cm. Vacuum Gauge: 760mm of Hg Measuring Tank: 40 Liters non Corrosive PVC tank with level indicator Sump Tank: 100 Liter, PVC Tank.
