Venturi Meter & Orifice Meter Apparatus Recirculating design with supply tank & measuring tank. • Non corrosive tanks & piping. • Transparent Venturi meter & Orifice meter made in acrylic DESCRIPRION: The Venturi meter & Orifice meter Apparatus is designed for calibration of water flow meters. Set up consists of a venturi meter & orifice meter clear acrylic fitted in pipe. Each flow meter has two pressure ports which can be connected to a mercury manometer to measure pressure difference at inlet & throat. This pressure difference is used to calculate the water flow rate theoretically. Water is supplied from the sump tank by centrifugal pump & measuring tank is provided to measure the water flow rate. The entire setup is mounted on a strong steel frame. By comparing the theoretical & measured flow rate, the discharge coefficient for flowmeter can be determined. EXPERIMENTAL CAPABILITIES: • To study water flow measurement using ventui meter & orifice meter.• To determine discharge coefficient for flowmeter.• To compare venture meter & orifice meter.
