Biot-Savart Law Description and Tender Specification:

Biot-Savart Law.

This equipment has been designed for the verification of Biot- Savart law inside circular turns of different diameter, and inside coils of different diameter, length and number of turns.
In the first case, the verification concerns the variation of magnetic field versus the diameter of circular turn, the current intensity and the distance from turn centre. In the second case, magnetic field is calculated versus the number of turns of the coil, coil radius, its position along coil axis, length of the same coil. The equipment consists of a rail where a worm screw driven by a stepper motor is positioned, of a support for circular turns and coils, of a power supply unit of variable current.
Magnetic field is measured via axial magnetic field probe that must be connected with the datalogger for data acquisition.
The probe is shifted lengthwise the coil or turn via the worm screw driven by a stepper motor.
This motor is controlled directly by the datalogger via the function generator included in the same datalogger.
Thus a precise detection of magnetic field versus position can be carried out.
Furthermore, the current applied to the turn or to the coil can be assessed.

Measuring the magnetic fi eld inside coils of different diameter, length and number of turns, versus current variation
